Privacy Policy

PickleJar Privacy Policy   (Addendum A)

PickleJar is a platform where Fans can support and engage with Artists. This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) is designed to protect and respect the privacy of Fans, Artists, and all users of our platform. It is part of our Terms of Use and is a testament to our commitment to your privacy.

PickleJar operates within Texas and adheres to the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) Section 541.002 of the TDPSA.

The definition of fan/artist falls within the personal data definition, which is any information “linked or reasonably linkable to an identified or identifiable individual. “The definition of personal information covers pseudonymous data when “the data is used by a controller or processor in conjunction with additional information that reasonably links the data to an identifiable individual. The term does not include de-identified data or publicly available information.” PickleJar does not sell your private information as listed in this policy.

Note: Sec. 541.107 states that a person covered by the definitions listed above “may not engage in the sale of personal data that is sensitive data without receiving prior consent from the consumer”.

Upon registration, by accepting the PickleJar Privacy and Terms of Service, you acknowledge that you are OPTING OUT of specific requirements. This does not limit your rights as an individual Fan or Artist. You still have the right to access, portability, correct, or delete records (right to request deletion), and you are protected against discrimination for exercising privacy rights. Sensitive data can only be collected with your unambiguous consent.

If you select OPTING IN when registering, an account will NOT be created, and you cannot use the PicklekJar App. This includes purchasing tickets and merchandise and earning piccoins.

PickleJar is a global company. By using our platform, you agree that the personal information you provide directly to us or that we collect through your use of the platform may be transferred to and stored in the United States and handled as described in this Policy.

Information You Provide Through Your Account

You provide this information through various text fields, such as your name, payment information, and benefits. The information we collect differs depending on whether you make an account, become a Fan, or become an Artist.

  • First and Last Name
  • Email Address
  • Username
  • Password
  • State and Country of Residence

You also have the option to enhance your public profile with additional information, such as a location, social media links, and an about section. We store this information, along with any comments or messages you submit on PickleJar.

Fans

A Fan joins PickleJar’s platform to support an Artist’s content. As a fan, you must provide your payment information to Stripe, our payment processor. You can see Stripe’s privacy policy here. At this time, PickleJar has not received your entire card number. Stripe provides us with a token representing your account, your card’s expiration date, card type, and the last four digits of your card number. If you are required to provide your name and email address to Stripe, then they also provide us with that information.

We collect and process information about the Artists you support, the level at which you help them, what benefits you receive, and how often you support them.

Artists

An Artist is someone who creates and provides content for their Fans through PickleJar’s platform. To become an Artist, you must create a profile that describes what you are creating. To receive payouts, you have to create an account with Stripe. We may also require your bank account information to process payouts. You must also provide us with additional information for tax purposes. Depending on your location, you may have to fill out a form with some combination of your:

  • First and Last Name
  • Address
  • Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number
  • Country of Citizenship
  • Foreign Tax Identification Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Your Nonprofit Registration Number, if you are a nonprofit business
  • Bank Account Information for Payouts
  • Phone Number
